Hexentanz In Haunted House is another theme release from Virtuti-D. This theme is finely suitable for websites dedicated to all kinds of horrors. Design combines “scary” elements and some old-fashioned look with modern approach in typography and laying out blocks of content. Built on default WordPress functionality what makes editing and modifying the theme easier.
The theme comes with certain number of pre-made page templates which are optional all the way. If you are not going to use one of them or all of them it will not affect the look and work of core pages (blog index, single post, category, authors, archives, attachment and so on). Pre-made templates are: Home, Events, Tickets, Gallery, Guestbook, About.
The theme comes with certain number of custom widgets written especially for this theme. Specific areas are defined for every type of custom widget. Some of widgets could be used on any page, some of them can be applied on particular pages only–due to its markup. For example Team Member custom widget you may use only on About page or any page where you use About page template.
Online ticket reservation
Simple PayPal powered script allows to book and pay on the event tickets online. Price for children and adult can be selected and added to the cart. Each ticket actually resembles the post written under “Events” custom post type.
Gallery utilises default WordPress gallery shortcode. It looks differently–gallery is wrapped in masonry layout what allows you to use landscape or portrait images without taking care about cropping and scaling the image size. All you need to do is to click “Add Media”, “Create Gallery”, select images and click “Insert Into Page”. Gallery page will display the gallery exactly as you shown on demo Gallery page.
Guestbook is another optional page which allows leave feedbacks / insert records for registered users. It is a kind of private feature granted to users with specific role only. The feature can be removed or extended. Fine “Members” plugin by J.Tadlock should be installed in order to get Guestbook page looking and working as it is displayed on demo.
